The aims of the Guild are:

To promote and stimulate interest in Sugarcraft as an art form

To share knowledge

To develop talent

To improve standards

The British Sugarcraft Guild (BSG) is made up of 7 regions, after one region joined with the surrounding areas. Region 7 is based in the Chiltern Hills & East Anglia, it goes as far north as Wellingborough and as far south as Chelmsford. Region 7 is made up of 15 branches, each branch holds demonstrations, workshops and swap ideas. Some of the branches have shops at their meetings and some have regular classes for members. All involve the members who are interested in Sugarcraft from beginners right up to experts who run their own business or teach. To find out if there is a branch near you click on the branch link and check out the different venues. Why not pop along to a meeting as a visitor and meet your local members? We are all very friendly and will be happy to offer you a cup of tea/coffee and make you feel welcome. Some of our members don't actively make cakes they just come for the company and are interested in seeing the demonstrations.

Our region also organises an exhibition every other year which we welcome visitors to. We try and put on other large events like demonstration days and arrange trips to major events when possible.

As a member of the BSG you will also receive a quarterly newsletter in Magazine format from the Guild giving you news on exhibitions, articles, photographs, advice and much more. If it is difficult for you to get to a branch you could become an individual member, more details can be found on the membership page. If you have an urgent question then please phone the National Office and they will give you the relevant phone number.
